Joshna Chinappa lost in straight sets at the prestigious USD 42,450 event, 2-11 9-11 15-17 to fifth seed Laura Massaro in the 1st round in 37 minutes at the Heights Casino club. In her first qualifying she defeated Julie Carullo (USA) 6-11, 11-5, 11-4, 12-10 and in the final qualifying she defeated Manuela Manetta (Ita) 11-8, 11-8, 10-12, 11-9.

Siddharth Suchde playing afater a month lay off lost in the quarter finals at the China Squash Open, being held at Shanghai, China.
In his 1st round he defeated eighth seed James Snell who went down 3-11, 11-8, 11-6, 6-11, 12-10 in 67m.
The 24-year-old then lost to Australia’s Matthew Karwalski in the quarter-finals 6-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 11-3 (56m)

Junior Interstate Championships, Indore (26-29 October 2009)
