Harish Chandra Golecha Memorial squash

Promising youngster Surabhi Mishra pipped Shivangee Paranjpe in a tough battle to take home the Under-17 girls’ title at the the All India Harish Chandra Golecha Memorial squash tournament here. Surabhi prevailed 9-5 8-10 9-10 9-5 9-3 in the final at the Jai Club today. In the boys’ Under-15 category, Ravi Dixit beat Karan Mallik 10-8 11-9 9-7 9-4 to lift the title.

Earlier in the men’s section, top seed Ritwik Bhattacharya took about half an hour to demolish the challenge of Naresh Kumar 9-2 9-1 9-4, while Gaurav Nandrajog subdued Partha Sharma 9-2 9-4 9-1 to sail into the final. Read more of this post
