Saurav Ghosal and Ritwik Bhattacharya at Asian Games, DohaSaurav Ghosal will become the first Indian to win a medal for squash at the Asian Games, defeating Ritwik Bhattacharya 3-1. It was a close encounter all the way, both players looking to take position of the ‘T’ and control the pace. Saurav used his drops to good effect taking the first two games. Ritwik however fought well to take the third. The 4th was fought point for point but Saurav was a little more consistent with his finishing shots. Saurav won in just over an hour 9-4, 9-0, 6-9, 9-7.
