Mumbai University team scraped past Delhi 3-2 to win the All India Inter-University men’s team squash championship at Chennai.

Last year, Mumbai had lost to Delhi by an identical margin in the final in Mumbai.

The tie was tantalisingly locked at 2-2, but Kunwarpal Singh came to the fore defeating Delhi’s Varun Prakash in five games to clinch the issue for Mumbai.

Vakil who is a second year Business Administration student at HR College, also finished runners-up to Laxman Joshi also of Mumbai in the individual championship.
