Squash Santiago Open, Spain (9 – 14 November 2009)

Saurav Ghosal lost in the quarters to Adrian Grant of England in a close 5 games. This is the first time Saurav has pushed a top 15 player to 5 games.  In the qualification Saurav defeated seventh seed Tom Richards and sixth seed Miguel Angel Rodriguez, respectively, in the opening round of the $41,000 event at Compostela, Spain.

1st round:
Saurav Ghosal (IND) bt [6] Miguel Angel Rodriguez (COL) 11-5, 11-8, 11-6 (33m) 

Men’s qualifying finals:
Alenjandro Garbi (Esp) bt Siddharth Suchde 12-10, 8-11, 11-8, 11-4 (44m)

Men’s qualifying 1st round:
Siddharth Suchde bt Diego Lopez (Esp) 11-4 11-4, 11-2 (33m)
