Cannon Kirk Homes Irish Open (11- 16 April 2011)

Saurav Ghosal having defeated Siddharth Suchde in the quarterfinals limps out in the semi finals after leading 2-0 against Tarek Momem. Saurav set his eyes on winning this title but was not to be. Leading 2-0  and 7-4 in the third game Saurav was in control of the match. Moving to pick a volley drop Saurav felt a snap in his heel. Unable to continue after the 3rd game Saurav conceded.

Tarek Momen (Egy) bt [3] Saurav Ghosal ( Ind ) 8/11, 2/11, 12/10. Ghosal w/d injured.

Quarterfinals:

[3] Saurav Ghosal ( Ind ) bt Siddarth Suchde ( Ind ) 11/4, 11/6, 11/7

(Q) Siddarth Suchde (IND) beat (Q) Matthew Karwalski (AUS) 11/4, 12/10, 11/6

(3) Saurav Ghosal (IND) beat (Q) Henrik Mustonen (FIN) 11/8, 12/10, 11/3
