16th Asian Ind. Champs, Malaysia 26-30 April 2011

Seeded 5/8 Siddharth Suchde defeated 3/4 seed Abdullah Khalid H. Al-Mezayen from Kuwait in the quarterfinals to win his maiden bronze medal at the Asian Championships. 

In the semi finals, Siddharth lost to Ong Beng Hee in a five set encounter.

Both Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu and Dipika Pallikal lost in the quarter finals. Joshana Chinappa lost in the first round and Mahesh Mangaonkar lost in the second round.

The Indian contingent comprised Joshana Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal, Siddharth Suchde, Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu, Mahesh Mangaonkar along with two coaches- Subramaniam Singaraveloo and Bhuvneshwari Kumari.

Saurav Ghosal did not participate in this championship due to an injury to his leg while playing a PSA event in Ireland.
