Junior National Squash Championship (16-20 Oct ’11)

The Sub-Junior/Junior National Squash Championship 2011 was the biggest ever by number. 614 players entered this event from across the country all-vying for top honors. In the end Maharashtra won 6 titles, with Tamil Nadu winning 3 and Delhi winning 1.

Mahesh Mangaonkar and Anaka Alankamony were crowned National Championships in the Boys and Girls u19 event defeating Vrishab Kotian and Saumya Karki respectively in contrasting fashions. In the under 17 finals, Kush Kumar was stronger than Rishi Tandon while Urvashi Joshi clawed back from a 1-2 deficit against Lakshya Ragavendran to win in the decider.  In the u15 finals, Yohan Pandole and Harshit Kaur defeated Ranjit Singh and Adya Advani in four games. In the u13 finals, Aryaman Adik won in close 5 games while Daksha Pathak defeated all odds to scalp her first victory against Nikita Joshi. Finally, in the u11 finals, Veer Chotrani once again pipped Tushar Shahani while Jeffrey Bianca defeated Aditi Raheja.
