Pioneer & Dutch Junior Opens (21 June – 1 July ’12)

Rishi Tandon finished in 3rd position at the Dutch Junior Open Squash Championships at Frans Otten Stadion in Amsterdam from 28 June – 1 July 2012. Unseeded in the event Rishi defeated 2nd seed Taminder Gata-Aura from England 11-9, 13-11, 11-3. In the semi finals Qatari Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi  the eventual winner defeated Rishi 16-14, 13-11, 12-10. Rishi however defeated frenchmen Alexandre Cogno to claim the bronze medal. A total of 11 Indians participated in the event, the other notable result was Velevan Senthilkumar in the BU15 who finished in 5th position. 

Prior to this event 8 players from India participated in the Pioneer Junior Open Squash Championships, held in the German city of Cologne from 21-25 June 2012.  Guhan Senthilkumar playing in the boys u17 was the only Indian who finished top 8 in the event
