Asian Individual 2015 - Indian teamThe lone Indian survivor after the quarterfinal phase, Joshna Chinappa expectedly fell at the semi-final hurdle to the current world champion and top seed Nicol David of Malaysia in straight games 6-11, 9-11, 7-11 in the Asian senior individual squash championship in Kuwait. The defeat meant Joshna had to settled for a bronze medal.

Joshna became the only Indian to win a semi-final berth after the second seeded Saurav Ghosal lost to Pakistani Nasir Iqbal 13-15, 11-7, 11-4, 11-5 in the quarterfinal stage due to very incompetent referring and Dipika Pallikal going down to Delia Arnold from Malaysia 7-11, 14-12, 13-11, 8-11, 9-11.

Earlier, in the round Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu crashed out in five game encounter to Farhan Zaman of Pakistan. Harinder started on a sprightly note winning the first two games but soon developed shin splints and there his movements got hampered. Farhan made the most of the situation to win 8-11, 4-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-3. The other Indian in the fray Mahesh Mangaonkar too fell against Yip Tsz Fung in straight games 10-12, 4-11, 2-11.
